The man who caused a five car accident during a police chase in Lansing Tuesday has been arraigned.
Nathaniel Austin was is charged with fleeing and eluding 3rd degree causing an accident, possession of cocaine under 25 grams, resisting and obstructing police and driving on a suspended license.
DeWitt Township police were chasing him after he bailed from a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon. The chase ended on Larch Street, near Lake Lansing Road in Lansing, when Austin ran a red light, causing a huge five-car wreck.
He took off on foot, but was quickly arrested.
At least four people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries from the crash.
Austin is due back in court on May 10.
