Following close behind was the painkiller Oxycontin and then Attention Deficit Disorder drugs like Ritalin and Adderall. The study shows the use of marijuana and Ecstasy has declined.
Another finding of the study was one out of 11 adolescents has used over-the-counter cough medicine to get high. Less than half of those surveyed say they viewed misusing drugs as a "great risk"
Local teens say they are not surprised by these results. They say the best "anti-drug" is education and keeping busy with after-school activities.
