It's been sixteen days since the Pontiff passed away and St. Mary Cathedral continues to be a sanctuary for people to pray, reflect and celebrate. The praises continue on day one of the Conclave.
At daily mass Monday, Parishioners recite a prayer for the successor. Williamston resident Paul DeWeese thinks it's been a wonderful way for the church to come together. The prayer will continue until the Papal appointment. A special mass will be held within a day or two of a Pope being named and a colorful bunting will be hung from the church doors.
