The scalpers were selling tickets at five dollars a pop - the same asking price for a football program.

Despite the low cost for tickets and the biting cold, team spirit still seemed to be high during Saturday's game against Purdue.

Although the Spartans fell to the Boilermakers during the last home game of the season, some fans said they had hope for next season, and many fans said they hoped Jeff Smoker would earn another chance to play on the team.

Several fans said they were ready for a new coach, but only a few people gave suggestions as to who they would like to see in the hot seat. One fan said he's hoping for Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops.

No matter who next year's coach is, fans say they're hoping for a win next week, when MSU takes on Penn State.
