Students Speak Out Following Riots

Two student groups at Michigan State University are speaking out against police actions in last weekend's riots.

Also, an independent report of the events may be in the works.

The Associated Students of Michigan State University and the Residence Hall Association allege police used unnecessary force following -- what they call -- peaceful celebrations after MSU's loss in the Final Four.

They've asked for an independent investigation of the police tacticts used.

The East Lansing Police Department supports an independent report.

East Lansing's deputy city manager says that idea is being considered to restore trust between students, residents and the police.
