Bridge Toll Rises For Some Drivers

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. (AP) -- Those paying with Canadian money at the Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge will soon see their toll rates rise to reflect the current exchange rate with U.S. currency.
The changes are effective April 1. They're the result of a currency equity review conducted by bridge officials twice each year.
The Canadian currency passenger vehicle tolls will be $3, on par with U.S. currency.
The Canadian currency commuter rate will be increased from $2.05 to $2.10, while the U.S. rate will remain at $2.10. is happy to provide a forum for commenting and discussion. Please respect and abide by the house rules:
