Post-game celebrants poured into the streets of the Cedar Village complex and in downtown Lansing, chanting and celebrating the end of the season after the Spartans lose.
In Cedar Village, police warned they'd spray teargas if the huge crowds did not disperse. When they didn't, they acted on the threat.
In downtown East Lansing on Albert Ave., police say they warned the crowds as well. Many students say they never heard the warnings before police sprayed tear gas.
The celebrations and police activity continued until about 1:30 AM. Fans burned a couch, and allegedly started a fire in a dumpster. 21 MSU students, 43 people total, were arrested. Another 20 were written tickets.
