Gov. Jennifer Granholm has a 51 to 39 percent job approval rating with Michigan voters but 40 percent give her low favorability marks. Pollster Ed. Sarpolus tells News Ten that's because of the state's economy and certain female voters who are "disenchanted" with the governor's performance.
Women earning less than $50,000 a year and with less than a college education have abandoned Granholm according to the latest EPIC-MRA statewide survey.
Sarpolus says those women are disappointed in the governor's inability to turn the economy around. In fact, the survey says that 45 percent of the citizens believe the state's economy is getting worse on her watch, and only about nine percent say it's improving.
