JACKSON CO. - A 14-year-old boy leads police on a chase that ends with police having to blow-out the car's tires.

At about 6 o'clock Monday night, an Albion police officer spotted a car that had been reported stolen in Jackson County. The officer attempted to stop the car, but the teenage driver kept on going and drove onto I-94. Police report the chase reached 90mph.

A Jackson County Sheriff's Office deputy laid stop-sticks down on the highway near the M-60 exit. The car was stopped and the 14-year-old taken into custody. No one was hurt and no other cars were damaged.

The car the child had stolen belonged to his parents and Albion police say that this child has stolen his parents' car at least two other times.

The boy was released to his parents custody. The Calhoun County prosecutor is considering charging the teen with fleeing and eluding a police office.
