The CDC has opened its doors for all clinics to buy as much flu vaccine as they want. Clinics will get credit towards unused vaccine that will go towards next year's vaccine orders.
Here in Michigan, health officials say flu activity is picking up, but it has not reached peak level yet. Michigan is now reporting "regional" activity which is a step above where it was last week. This is one step away from "widespread" activity.
There is still time to protect yourself by getting a flu shot. But once flu activity hits, it may be too late.
