Police are looking for a man who apparently drove off in a Michigan State Police cruiser.
Police say the handcuffed suspect climbed into the front seat of a state police car in Oakland County early Monday morning and fled in the vehicle.
The car is equipped with an assault rifle and shotgun. Police say the man should be treated as armed and dangerous.
Police recovered the car and the weapons not far from the state police post, but the 30-year-old Auburn Hills with a record of auto theft remains at large.
Troopers originally encountered the man in a parking lot in nearby Springfield Township and arrested him on a concealed weapons charge late Sunday night.
