Just a few months before a balanced Lansing City Budget must be presented, the search is on for millions of dollars. Thursday, the city's Finance Director, Glenn Kirk, presented the latest numbers.
The city is facing a $3.1 million deficit likely to be reduced by borrowing $1.8 million from the rainy day reserves. That still leaves a large deficit and councilmembers know they must cut.
Kirk presented a list of suggestions and councilmembers will start sifting through them at their next Committee of the Whole meeting.
