Michigan Flags Lowered to Mourn Tsunami Victims

Governor Granholm has ordered US flags at state buildings and facilities be flown at half-staff for the rest of the work week.

It's in observance of the thousands of victims of the Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunamis just after Christmas.

Granholm says her thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of the disaster. She pointed out people in Michigan with loved ones in the countries hit by the tsunami.

The governor also has encouraged Michigan residents to help with relief efforts by donating to the American Red Cross.
