More than 2000 Michiganians have been named as possible victims in an identity theft scam. ChoicePoint, Inc., out of Georgia, is a firm that sells information about consumers to agencies such as credit bureaus and the government. Criminals duped the firm, and now more than 144,000 people nationwide could have had personal information stolen.
