The lansing school district is adding another school to it's list of buildings that may close next year.
The latest on the chopping block is wainwright elementary.
Wainwright joins five other schools in the district that could be closed because of next year's ten to 12-million dollar budget deficit.
Parents and teachers will attend an informational meeting at the school tuesday night at 6:30 P.M. for an explanation.
One of those reasons could be several empty classrooms.
The lansing school district refused to speak to News 10 on camera about this story.
Board members plan to vote on at least five of the school closings february 17th. It's unclear if wainwright will be part of that vote.
