Athletic Brawls

Three days after the basketball brawl at Auburn Hills Palace, people are investigating how to prevent this from happening in the future.

Dr. Dennis Martell of MSU suggests monitoring alcohol served at sporting events. He also says installing more security cameras would help.

"People tend to get caught up in the mob mentality, but when they know they can be easily recognized, they think twice,” Martell says.

Ingham County Prosecutor Stuart Dunnings III said it will be possible to track down many of the rowdy fans, but it'll likely take some time.

Charges could include assault.
