East Village Project Draws More Questions

By  |

In a public meeting citizens of East Lansing ask questions about the East Village Project. Some answers say committee project officials could take years.

The East Village Project is a 35 acre development proposal to replace East Lansing's Cedar Village and adjacent buildings and business.

The project could mean an eight story midrise and other buildings replacing current homes, possibly trippling the number of residents in the area.

Residents asked how the project will be funded.

Committee members said by private means -- but no specific names are yet known.

Some wanted to know why there was not a Michigan State University student appointed to the committee as well.
