Sparrow Ramblewood Imaging Center has added a 40-slice Computed Tomography scanner, the first in Michigan and one of only six units in the world.
The scanner takes pictures of inside patient's bodies faster and with more clarity than scanners in the past. It also will help replace the need for several invasive procedures.
Nearly two-dozen patients in the Lansing area have already used the scanner.
