The Lansing mother of a woman killed during a vacation in Mexico has finished a walk to Washington, D.C. in her daughter's memory.
Jackie Johnson spent 11 days on foot. She has met with U.S. Representative Mike Rogers, hoping he can help find answers to her daughters slaying.
Erin Johnson was killed during a vacation with her boyfriend in Cabo-
San Lucas, Mexico. The killer was never found and Jackie Johnson has had trouble getting answers about the death and investigation from Mexican authorities.
Johnson went to Washington to meet with lawmakers and bring attention to the unsolved death of her daughter and other U.S. citizens aboard. She says language barriers and jurisdiction issues prevent U.S. Agents from effectively investigating deaths of U.S. citizens.
Johnson's journey covered more than 600 miles and took her through four states.
