Another Dove Hunting Spat?

Pro animal rights groups are convinced that Rep. Susan Tabor, mother of the legalized Dove hunting bill, is on a mission to remove lawmakers from the game of deciding which animals can be hunted in Michigan. Tabor strongly denies that her House Bill 6272 does that.

In an Email obtained by New 10, the anti-Tabor groups claims her bill would give the Department of Natural Resources authority to pick those animals without legislative input.

Tabor says, "No. No. No. No. They are so paranoid." She contends lawmakers will still have a voice. What she claims to be doing is making sure the DNR has a voice, too.

The measure is up for committee debate this week.
