Winter Storm Slows Mid-Michigan Travel

The worst of the weather was over by about 10 a.m., but its effects were felt for some time after.

Michigan Department of Transportation's salt truck and snow plow drivers were out in full force and so were local plow drivers. But they couldn't clear all of the ice and snow.

Allen Dicken is driving back to Detroit Thursday, but his trip didn't go as planned. Dicken skidded out under an overpass but managed to get his vehicle under control before it crashed.

A number of accidents were reported across mid-Michigan.
