Lansing and its school system joined other educators from across the country in working to end the education gap. This gap is the difference in education success based on race and economic class say educators.
The National League of Cities met in Lansing to discuss findings on the education gap.
The Lansing School District wants to focus its efforts on middle schools, saying the often awkward social climate and critical learning skills developed there can be changed for the better.
