Jackson Public Schools voted 5 to 2 in favor of cutting thier budget $1.2 million. As a result they will privitize thier custodial services and lay off more then 50 workers and cut 60 job positions.

"It's the toughest cut's I've been part of," said Dan Evans, Superintendent of Jackson Public Schools.

The union representing the workers calls it the ultimate consession in a series of concessions they've made over the years to correct the district's budget woes.

Workers may be offered a job by the private company -- but at a smaller wage and with singificantly fewer benefits.
