More Layoffs in Store for General Motors

Another temporary shutdown for General Motors is approaching. A second Lansing plant learns it’s on the list.

In September, more than two thousand workers at the Lansing Car Assembly plant were told to expect downtime stretching into the new year. GM now says an unknown number of Lansing Craft Centre employees will also be temporarily laid off.

Three other plants in three other states will also be laid off. GM says it's being done to bring production in line with market demand.
