Both Jackson and Ingham County Health Departments are securing more flu shots and bolstering personnel for when the state drops its restrictions on who can receive the influenza vaccine Thursday.
Ingham County says they currently have 400 doses with another 1,200 from the state expected by next week.
The Jackson County Health department says they expect 700 doses from nearby Foot Hospital to help with the increase in demand Thursday.
Jackson officials fear that after that supply runs out, they may not have any shots for the rest of the flu season.
