Update on Flu Vaccine Shortage

Dr. Dean Sienko, acting director of the Michigan Department of Community Health, announced an update Friday to the public.

He says Michigan may be getting more vaccine doses. Health officials are waiting for accurate information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

This data will show how Michigan compares to other states in terms of supply. It will also break down the state by county so health officials will be able to allocate vaccine to the communities most in-need.
