Lansing Organization Needs Help Collecting Winter Coats

By  |

The Lansing City Rescue Mission is asking for help. Donations are down and they need at least 1,200 more additional coats for their second annual winter coat giveaway in three weeks.

Mike Criss, Executive Director, says they handed out 1,400 coats last year and they expect even more this year. All sizes are needed.

If you would like to donate, you can drop warm weather attire off at the Lansing City Rescue Mission on Michigan Avenue, Krispy Kreme on Lake Lansing Road, or any of the Carriage Cleaners locations.

The winter coat giveaway will be held November 6 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lansing City Rescue Mission. Anyone in need of a winter coat is eligible to receive one.
