A Jackson may was pried away after throwing himself on a Greyhound bus driver as the bus sped down the highway in northwest Ohio. The driver was able to bring the bus to a stop without injury to anyone.
Three passengers, including an off-duty female bus driver, subdued 51-year-old Bobby Whitley after he threw himself onto the driver and steering wheel, saying he wanted to die.
State Highway Patrol troopers were already en route to the southbound bus on Interstate 75 in northwest Ohio early Friday, saying the driver had called them after Whitely had complained another passenger had a gun. No weapon was found.
Whitley pleaded innocent to charges of inducing panic, disorderly conduct and assault in a court in Lima, Ohio.
