Another Report of Sexual Assault on Campus at MSU

Michigan State University Police get another report of sexual assault on campus. This less than 48 hours after a separate incident was reported bringing the total number of assaults on campus up to ten since school began.

The first report came early Sunday morning. A 19-year-old female MSU student tells police she was walking alone around 12:30 a.m. when a stranger grabbed her and sexually assaulted her outside of Holden Hall. The second report came Monday night. An 18-year-old female MSU student says an acquaintance attacked her in her Holden Hall dorm room around 9:30 Sunday evening. It's being described as fourth-degree CSC, unwanted touching. The victim tells police she told him to leave, and he did. But the following evening, he returned. There was some sort of altercation, and now unwanted entry and assault and battery are being added to reports of CSC.

MSU Police stress the two incidents are not related even though they occurred in roughly the same area only hours apart. There's no suspect in the first alleged attack, but police do have a description of the person they believe committed the second alleged attack. Police say they are looking for a white male, 180 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes. He's six feet tall with a medium build and medium complexion. If you have any information on either attack, please call MSU Police at (517) 355-2222.
