MSU Students Meet With East Lansing Police

East Lansing Police discussed noise and parking violations, drinking and partying with a few MSU students during a community meeting Monday evening.

Members of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity welcomed about 25 people - including other fraternity members and students - into their house to discuss concerns and ask questions to the East Lansing Police Department.

The East Lansing police chief and captain provided information about why noise violations and tickets are written. Students expressed concerns about holding parties without disturbing the community.

Neighbors said they thought the meeting was a good idea to improve community relations.

The meeting is an annual event.
