Millions of dollars in state funding is up for grabs as schools tally their students for "count day."
For every student, the state gives schools $6,700 to about $9,000.
This year, Lansing schools forecast flat to slightly up enrollment as does the district of Leslie.
Williamston schools, a district that's seen over 40 percent growth in the last 19 years, will see a slight drop in enrolment.
A spokesman for the district says that's due to an unusually large graduating class and "population glitch."
