Three more people in Michigan have died from the West Nile virus, bringing the total number of West Nile deaths in our state to eight.
The latest victims were elderly women in Oakland County.
So far this year, at least 135 Michigan residents have been sickened by West Nile and state officials say they expect to see more cases until a hard frost kills mosquitoes that spread the potentially deadly virus.
