On the eve of the big game against Notre Dame, Spartan fans are preparing, and so are East Lansing and Michigan State University Police. There are extra patrols and crowd control planned as well as alcohol enforcement.

MSU Police will have an excess of 100 officers on duty before and after the game and the East Lansing Police Department will also be on hand. Captain Juli Liebler, of the ELPD, says she anticipates paying out approximately $6,000 in overtime just for traffic control alone. Sgt. Florene McGlothian Taylor, MSU Police, says the Ingham County Sheriff's Department and Special Events Security will also be on campus helping control the crowd.

More than 70,000 fans are expected to fill Spartan Stadium on Saturday. For a complete list of what is and isn't allowed inside tailgating areas log onto
