By day they're MSU students, working toward media arts and advertising degrees. By night, they are Youtube sensations.
Senior Brianna Gardner and her classmate Andrew Vallentine decided months back they were going to produce a music video.
"We're not so busy over the summer, all of our friends are here," Gardner said. "We could use the equipment at Michigan State."
After two months of planning, two 18 hour days of shooting, and at least 50 hours of editing; they produced a five minute video set to the single "Monster by Lady Gaga.
Now thousands of people are going goo goo for it online.
"It took about eight hours to upload it to Youtube because the file was so large," Gardner said.
So far, there are 20,000 views and counting on the Website, but it's not just friends and family who give them the thumbs up. Lady Gaga herself - or least those closest to her have seen it. They made it her clip of the week on her U.K. Website.
The all MSU cast and crew couldn't be happier.
"It's been really great," MSU senior and dancer in the video, Danielle Lauhoff said. "It was really high energy and a great experience."
"We hope one of us makes it big so we can help each other out and keep making contacts in this business," MSU Junior Jordan Leer said.
Gardner who edited it on her lap top, along with Vallentine, said it's much more than paying homage to the singer.
"Yes we're from Michigan, we're from the Midwest," Gardner said. "We don't have this big budget, but we still have the talent that rivals Hollywood."
It's about proving to the movie industry, she said, that MSU grads have what it takes.
"Maybe I'll be the next Steven Spielberg?" Gardner said with a laugh.
Or maybe, just maybe, the next Lady Gaga?
Lady Gaga will be in concert in Detroit Saturday. Gardner said she will be there with DVDs in tow, hoping to get it to the singer some how.
Here's the link to the music video. Warning: some may consider it slightly risque.
