Lansing Utility Boss Fired

The General Manager of Lansing's Board of Water and Light has been fired.

Joe Pandy headed the power and water utility for 17 years. Earlier this week, the BWL Board of Commissioners unanimously voted to oust him

Pandy says the firing violates his contract and is considering legal action.

He was paid $175,000 a year to oversee 725 employees and a $200 million budget.

In the meantime, Pandy's duties have been assigned to William Cook, the BWL Assistant General Manager.
