We hear everyone saying reduce, reuse and recycle. Now we get the reduce and the recycle part but what do we reuse? Here are some quick and easy ideas.
In the kitchen: Egg cartons can be used to sprout seeds for your garden, as paint or glue containers for arts & crafts or used to protect items you are shipping. Plastic grocery bags can be reused for groceries, as garbage can liners, to clean up after your dogs or even keep in your car or purse to collect other recyclables on the go. In the bathroom: Shower curtains can be used as paint drop cloths or as covers to prevent your plants from freezing in the winter.
From the bedroom: Old blankets can have a new life as picnic or beach blankets. Keep one in your car in case of emergencies or if you are carrying something fragile you can wrap it up.
Shoe boxes can be decorated and used as picture boxes or as organizers around the house. Just look around and see how you can inject new life into old items instead of adding them to the landfill.
