Do you want to know two of the easiest ways to stop weight gain? They're both things you can do everyday: walk 2,000 more steps and eat 100 fewer calories. And with these tips you'll cut those calories.

Small changes in what you eat and your portion sizes can make a noticeable difference rather quickly when you cut 100 calories from your diet everyday.

At breakfast, use smaller juice glasses and cereal bowls to help you control your portion sizes. Soon, your brain will learn to recognize what an appropriate, filling meal will look like.

Adding more vegetables to your lunch and dinner plates while decreasing the amount of meat you eat will help you fill up faster and avoid the higher calories from fat. Select portion controlled frozen entrees or snacks to measure exactly how many calories you are eating. And three easy areas to cut your intake in half: bread, sugar and alcohol. They add a number of calories that you usually don't need.

Also, eat slowly to make your meal last. It takes 20 minutes for your stomach to let your brain know it's full - so listen and you'll avoid eating more than you should. is happy to provide a forum for commenting and discussion. Please respect and abide by the house rules:
