Gentle Reminders For Safe Driving

Sensible driving occurs all year long, but this time of year has it's own unique challenges. So here are a few simple safety reminders as you hit the road this fall.

With school back in session, more children are crossing streets in the mornings and evenings. A lot of the most important tips are common sense: pay attention to posted signs, slow down in school zones and obey crossing guards.

Also, the amount of daylight hours is cut thanks to Standard Daylight Time. That means many of us will be commuting to and from work in darkness. Make sure your headlights work and keep your windshield clean to avoid an accident.

One UPS driver Brent Boyd recently drove his delivery truck over 1 million accident free miles. Similarly, Frito Lay saluted 90 drivers who have driven over 1 million accident free miles. The company now has more than 300 active Million Milers on the roads daily.
