State Gets $2.6 Million Settlement With Drug Company

Michigan is getting $2.6 million as a part of a national settlement with Glaxo Smith Kline.

The Pharmaceutical giant is accused of unlawfully promoting three drugs across the country. 43 other states and Washington D.C. are also getting settlements. GSK allegedly promoted its asthma drug, Advair for mild cases of asthma. It also is accused of saying antidepressants Paxil and Wellbutrin were safe for young children and teens.

None of that had been approved by the FDA.
