The Detroit Pistons, needing big men, chose 7-foot center Andre Drummond with the 9th pick in Thursday night's NBA draft. Drummond played at Connecticut. The Pistons have the 39th and 44th picks in the second round. As expected Kentucky's Anthony Davis was the first pick of the New Orleans Hornets.
