Several Olympians were at MSU's Demmer center Saturday to celebrate World Olympic Day.
Those who came out to the first-time event were treated to all kinds of Olympic activities, including archery, discus, curling, air riflery, and even a triathlon. The celebration began in 1948 in honor of the birth of the modern Olympic Games, while promoting fair play, perseverance, respect and sportsmanship.
The Demmer Center event is one of more than 700 taking place nationwide during June. Another 160 countries are also taking part. Some of the local Olympians in attendance included track and field star Judi Brown Clark Archery veteran Glen Myers and cyclist Duncan Wyeth.
