Several people are out of their homes, after fire breaks out late Thursday night at a townhouse complex near the airport on Lansing's north side.
Firefighters say they could see smoke and flames when they arrived at Mount Vernon single story townhouses, located on Wilson Avenue off of Waverly road around 11:30 p.m.
Fire officials tell us three units were affected.
They were able to contain the flames to the unit where the fire started in the kitchen area,however, two adjacent units had smoke and water damage.
No one was hurt.
The Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
