HOWELL, Mich. (AP) -- A Livingston County man wished his wife mental and physical happiness as she was being sentenced to 5 to 25 years in prison for trying to have him killed.
Tracy Ousley of Handy Township spoke at Tuesday's sentencing hearing for Kimberly Ousley, who pleaded no contest to solicitation of murder. Howell radio station WHMI says Circuit Judge Stanley Latreille credited the 48-year-old for 288 days already served.
Kimberly Ousley said she offered $12,000 to an undercover police officer posing as a hit man. She said her husband was verbally, mentally and physically abusive.
Tracy Ousley tells the Livingston County Daily Press & Argus of Howell "there's some truth to" his wife's allegations of verbal abuse. He denied being physically abusive.
The couple is now divorcing.
