DETROIT -- Halle Berry and Denzel Washington: Aretha Franklin wants you.
The Queen of Soul this week revealed a wish list of actors she'd like to see sign up for a planned film about her life and career.
Franklin says she'd love to see the two Oscar winners in a filmed adaptation of her autobiography, "Aretha: From These Roots."
The legendary singer from Detroit wants Berry to take on the role of a younger version of herself and Washington to portray her father, the Rev. C.L. Franklin.
Her wish list also includes Terrence Howard as Motown star Smokey Robinson.
Franklin revealed her role choices in a written press release.
Messages seeking comment were left by The Associated Press on Friday for representatives of Berry, Washington and Howard.
