The nominees for the 82nd annual Academy Awards were announced this morning in Los Angeles.
The science-fiction sensation "Avatar" and the war-on-terror thriller "The Hurt Locker" lead the Oscar nominations with nine each.
The Academy Awards will be presented Sunday, March 7th.
