Katherine Jackson has filed to a petition become the administrator of her son Michael Jackson's estate to ensure his three children are its beneficiaries.
The documents filed Monday in Los Angeles state that Jackson's mother should be appointed as the estate's administrator.
Joe Jackson has joined in the petition to try to designate his wife as keeper of the pop icon's estate.
Also today, Jackson's mother has been given temporary guardianship of his three children. A hearing is set for early August to decide whether she can become their permanent guardian.
