Kid Rock is showing his affection for Detroit with a new video for a song on his platinum-selling CD "Rock 'N Roll Jesus."
The Detroit News and the Detroit Free Press report the boisterous Detroit-area rocker and bandmates yesterday visited the Motown Historical Museum to shoot footage of them performing the song "Roll On."
The museum is the former home of Motown Records.
This week a film crew also shot footage of Kid Rock driving around the city in a 1960s Lincoln Continental and visiting landmarks such as Tiger Stadium, the former home of the Detroit Tigers that is being demolished.
Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert J. Ritchie, says he "really wanted to capture the heart and soul of Detroit."
The video is expected to be released this fall.

I want to thank KID ROCK FOR coming out and making his comments about Politics that he did the other day! He stated he writes songs and doesnt speak out in PUBLIC his feelings about Politics or who he is voting for. I admire him for making this statement! So many stars open their mouths on who they support, and he also belives that is career suicide. So thanks again KID for being up front and honest about this topic! I admire you more today then ever! My own opinion is the same, Stars and hollywood people need to stay quiet and keep their opinions to themselves.
