Hundreds in Mid-Michigan welcomed the man they feel can make a needed difference in the United States, to Chisholm Hills in Delhi Township Saturday morning.
Mitt Romney began his half-hour speech by describing his Michigan roots and memories of when his father was Governor in the 1960's. Then, it was straight to Obama, and what Romney calls his lack of effort to fix federal debt and spending: "He just gave a State of the Union a few weeks ago; didn't even mention the deficit or the debt."
He reminded his primarily Republican audience of his promise to end Obama's health care plan, invest in a search for alternative energy within the country and to cut unfair taxation; particularly on small businesses. "You know how much of our workforce of America, non-government workforce, works for these companies? Over half," Romney stated.
Another topic praised by his audience was a promise to restore funding that was cut for the armed forces: "The best ally peace has ever known is a strong America and I will rebuild our Navy and Air Force."
