Romney Says a Michigan Win Gives Him Presidency

DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) -- Mitt Romney says he thinks he can win Michigan -- and that if he does, he'll win the presidency.
Romney was flying Monday evening from Iowa to Michigan for a day of campaigning. He was expected to complete a five-day, six-state bus tour on Tuesday.
He told reporters that he thinks he can win in Michigan, the state where he was born and grew up. If that happens, he says, "I become president."
Romney says he thinks Russia and China will continue to be dominant players on the world stage. He says he's reading the book "The Next Hundred Years," by George Friedman, which forecasts the next century.

He supports capitalism which has worked in this country for a couple hundred years. He didn't support the bailout. How much money did the country lose and put on our grandchildren under the crazy spending of the current President?

We do not support GM, nor the other 2 either. We drive Lexus and Toyota, the more refined products. Can't get quality like that from Detroit, neither can you get a decent presidential candidate.

No matter who "wins" half the population won't be happy. Half the population isn't happy with Obama and half the population isn't happy about Romney. In the end, our votes really don't count because they will put in whom they want by "redistricting" and "electoral votes".

That is absolutely correct. And, no matter who wins, we ALL are screwed regardless. Just ride out the "Titanic" till she sinks.

Your correct. What is taking this country down goes far beyond who is president. The puppet master has two hands, democrat and republican, but one head.

He kept the auto companies running. Which in turn has kept a lot of small businesses running. (all the little tool and die). Kept Michigan from having 15% unemployment. We would still be in a recession in Michigan right now not an economic growth mode right now.

this guy hasn't called Michigan home since the 70s and really hasn't done anything for this state. His father George Romney was governor at one time and Mitt grew up here, then left. Those are the only real ties he has to Michigan. Other than that, this state doesn't seem to mean anything to him. If it did, he would've stuck around and did more for the good of Michigan.

It is amazing how the press has tried to bring back the association with color and negativity. Red use to be associated with communisim and socialism and now it is associated with freedom of choice of work and freedom. The old saying better dead than red is now better red than dead.

He is stupid, and if you are smart you will not vote for him. He is a joke and only cares about the rich and all of his money and is all he is going to worry about. Anyone else is just a waste of time to him.
