Experts: Snyder Good Choice For Vice President

LANSING -- Governor Rick Snyder could be running for Vice President this fall, if some political experts are to be believed.

Rumors first surfaced during the Republican primary election. Now, experts say Synder's chances of becoming Mitt Romney's running mate are looking pretty good.

The new round of speculation started after a newspaper in Tampa, Fla. published an article about hotel assignments for state delegations at the Republican National Convention there this summer.

Snyder was reportedly given one of the best hotel assignments, second only to Massachusetts, where Romney served as Governor.

The location of the hotel puts Synder close to the convention site, and Romney's own hotel. The Florida Republican political consultant who wrote the Tampa Bay Online op-ed piece says that's no coincidence.

A political strategist in Michigan says Snyder would make a logical choice for running mate.

"Snyder has had a really good track record in the short time he has been in office," Lynn Aronoff said. "He's eliminated a $1.5 billion deficit. He got rid of the Michigan business tax. And quite frankly, he won the state with 58 percent of the vote and he has crossover appeal. What could be bad?"

Would love to see some facts and reasons to back up the anti Snyder rants. This guy has done more for the State in a year than most governors have done in four. If you're completely happy with not having a job, possessing a huge pile debt, and not doing anything productive to change your future, then I guess your reasoning makes sense. This guy came in on his own dollar, ran his own campaign and is a shining example of the American Dream! He has worked hard in life and it has paid off. He's not some scum bag career politician who owes favors all across town. To everyone that complains about rich people taking money off shore, your full of it! Why do you shop at Walmart instead of Meijer? Let me guess so you can save money right? Rich people hide money off shore because just like you they want to save money and it just so happens that the law allows them to do so. Dollar for dollar they still probably pay more in taxes than you do.

The ONLY thing anyone needs to read is this: "He's eliminated a $1.5 billion deficit." That Granholm made. Next on the list, Michigan's economy. Michigan is offically listed at #6 on the fastest growing economies in the United States. Well, all of you Snyder haters can go to Ohio or something since this guy is really honestly turning the state around.

The only people who can't stand Rick Snyder are poor people who don't WANT to work.

Mitt Romney is just going to have to settle on someone else. We finally get a great governor in Michigan and now they want to steal him away after such a short time fixing this Liberal Democrat wasteland???? I'm already looking forward to Gov. Snyder's next term in Michigan so Ole Mitt is just going to have to wait. Would be pretty neat to have two of Michigan's finest running the United States of America though.

You're an idiot. Snyder said he's only running one term and is ruining Michigan. Do your research before you commit America to the same ruin.

IT WOULD BE COOL FOR HIM TO RUN, THEN MAYBE HE COULD DO MORE TO TEACH WELFARE RECIPIENTS HOW TO WORK AND SUPPORT THEIR OWN FAMILY INSTEAD OF DEPENDING ON TAXPAYERS. HE STARTED A BAD IDEA BUT HR HAS WON MORE PEOPLE OVER THEN HE HAS LOST.

Well, Snyder and Romney share similar sources for their wealth. I would bet that Snyder has a ton of money in offshore and hidden bank accounts too.

Yeah, it's cool that that these people expect others to pay more in taxes while they keep their money away from the IRS.
